Dr. Govind M. Kulkarni

Dr. Govind Kulkarni is a Psychiatrist from Sangli, Maharashtra. He has completed MBBS from reputed BJ Medical College. Dr. Kulkarni stood first while completing Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM) which he completed from a joint set up of BJ Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, which are considered as apex institutes in Maharashtra. He went on to add DNB in Psychiatry to his educational qualification. 

Dr. Kulkarni started his professional career with Sassoon Hospitals & MIMH in Pune as Consultant Psychiatrist. He then accepted position of Consultant Psychiatrist at Wanless Hospital in Miraj where he also played a role of teacher for CPS DPM post graduate diploma students. He is currently associated with Wanless Hospital as an Honorary Psychiatrist. In 2002, he started a 10 bedded psychiatric nursing home ‘ Manodnya Nursing Home’ at Vishrambag. He was associated with Seychelles University’s MD Psychiatry as an examiner. 

Dr. Kulkarni has been involved in many presentations for doctors and psychiatrists groups in addition to delivering several lectures for patients and relatives related to awareness for psychological disorders. He played an integral part in EMRC’s TV programme for depression.

An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Kulkarni has represented Maharashtra in National Chess tournaments and BJ Medical College in Pune University's Cricket tournaments. He is an administrative committee member of Nutan Buddhibal Mandal, Sangli.
